KERATAN AKHBAR PILIHAN: TRAFFIC UNDER CONTROL DESPITE HEAVY FLOW

Kuala Lumpur, 6 February 2022 - Heavy traffic was reported on most expressways as many motorists return to their homes after Chinese New Year festivities.

However, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement department principal assistant director, Superintendent Dr. Bakri Hj. Zainal Abidin said no major congestion was reported yesterday.

"In the northern zone from Bukit Kayu Hitam until Tanjung Malim, there was large volume of vehicles but traffic remained smooth heading towards Kuala Lumpur as of 4pm.

"Only the stretches of Butterworth-Kulim and Ipoh-Tapah experienced slow-moving traffic. Based on our observation, overall traffic remained under control," he told The Star.

Meanwhile, traffic in the southern zone from Senai onwards remained smooth, Superintendent Dr. Bakri Hj. Zainal Abidin said.

"In the eastern zone, slow moving traffic was reported at the Gombak and Bentong toll plazas.
