A Special unit has been set up by the police's Narcotics Department to tackle the use of e-cigarettes containing drug-laced liquids found in the underground market.
Federal Narcotics Department director Dato' Sri Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said the department was working closely with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to clamp down on online distributors selling the illegal substance.
Dato' Sri Mokhtar said he was directed by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar to remind the public that there were laws to penalise those found selling and using e-cigarettes containing illegal substances.
