Ipoh - There is no silver lining for six men rounded up by police at Waller Court flats here as part of a city-wide operation against gangsterism.
The men, aged 20 to 24, who were allegedly linked to the notorious Gang 04, were arrested under the Ops Cantos Silver operation at around 9pm on Monday after a tip-off.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said police seized five parangs and three molotov cocktails from the vehicles.
"Five of the suspects are from Ipoh and the other from Tronoh. One of them has two police records," he said, adding that the man was being investigated for theft.
"They will be remanded until Friday for investigation under Section 6 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act," he said.
