A gang of six from Sungai Petani, comprising four men and two women, known as ‘Geng Subuh’ go to the mosque on the pretext of performing the Subuh prayers, but the real intention is to look out for their next prey.
The members aged between 19 and 41, who are actively break into cars and steal valuables from the vehicles while the owners are performing their prayers at the mosque at Yan, came to an end after police, who set up a task force, detained three of its members, including the mastermind, who is a 33-year-old drug addict.
The men were arrested in a rented house in Jalan Kuala Ketil, Sungai Petani on March 11. After half an hour, police managed to nab the other three members when they came over the house. The arrests of the group members, police managed to solve four cases at mosques in Yan, Kedah.
