COPS RESCUE 3 TEENS TRICKED INTO PROSTITUTION

Three teenagers who were deceived into prostitution were rescued by police from a hotel in Sandakan, Sabah, two days ago.

Believed to be immigrants, the girls, aged between 15 and 17 were lured via social media by an 18-year-old pimp, who promised them big sums of money to "serve" his clients.

Police arrested the pimp at the hotel and the girls had been sent to a shelter pending investigations into the case.

The case is being investigated under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007.
