Two suspected car thieves were arrested less than an hour after they stole a vehicle in Tawau, thanks to alerts posted on Facebook by the public.
The two illegal immigrants, aged 27 and 48, allegedly stole a four-wheel drive vehicle that was left unattended with its engines still running by the roadside at about 7.20am yesterday.
The owner informed his family members, who took to social media asking for help from the public. They also made a police report about the theft. At about 8am, police saw a vehicle matching the description of the stolen car in Tawau town area.
