The former director of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, Tan Sri Zaman Khan recalls how difficult it was to capture the elusive criminal, Wong Swee Chin or most known as Botak Chin.
Botak Chin who was active in robberies around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor in the 1970s was caught by the long arm of the law after being wounded during a shootout at a sawmill in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur on Feb 16, 1976.
The most wanted criminal in Tan Sri Zaman Khan’s to-catch list was finally hanged on June 11, 1981 due to sentenced to death by the High Court at the Pudu prison, Kuala Lumpur.
