#BeSmartStayAlert [KERATAN AKHBAR PILIHAN] SCAM ALERT: 14 DITAHAN KES PENIPUAN KUTIP DERMA DALAM TALIAN

Gombak, 30 November 2021 - Polis menahan 14 individu kerana disyaki terbabit sindiket penipuan kutipan sumbangan secara dalam talian mengguna nama pusat kebajikan anak yatim serta orang kurang upaya (OKU).

Timbalan Ketua Polis Negara, DIG Datuk Seri Hj. Mazlan Lazim, berkata taktik menggunakan nama pusat kebajikan itu bertujuan meraih simpati orang ramai, sekali gus memudahkan proses kutipan sumbangan berkenaan.

"Sindiket menggunakan taktik menghubungi mangsa untuk meminta sumbangan wang dana kebajikan anak yatim, madrasah dan OKU.

"Mangsa yang bersimpati akan memasukkan wang ke dalam akaun bank dipercayai menggunakan keldai akaun" katanya pada sidang media selepas merasmikan Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Gombak, di sini, semalam.

Datuk Seri Hj. Mazlan berkata, siasatan awal mendapati sindiket itu menyediakan skrip perbualan sebelum menghubungi mangsa.

Katanya, mereka memperkenalkan diri kononnya daripada pusat kebajikan tertentu untuk minta sumbangan dan sindiket terbabit dikesan masih aktif hingga kini.

"Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan kerana menipu," katanya.
