INTERFORCE GAMES 2023: TUJUH JENIS SUKAN, 24 ACARA DIPERTANDINGKAN

Putrajaya, 24 Oktober 2023 - Atas dasar semangat setiakawan dan kesukanan, kejohanan tradisi di antara Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) dengan Singapore Police Force (SPF) iaitu Interforce Games (IFG) edisi 2023 bakal membuka tirainya esok di beberapa lokasi dekat Lembah Klang.

Menurut Setiausaha Majlis Sukan PDRM, Superintendan Muhammad Najib Hamzah, sebanyak tujuh jenis sukan dan 24 acara akan dipertandingkan pada temasya yang bakal berlangsung pada 25 Oktober 2023.

Tujuh acara tersebut ialah golf, bola sepak, badminton, 10-pin bowling, bola jaring, dart dan futsal wanita.

Seperti kebiasaan, sukan dart menyaksikan acara terbanyak bakal dipertandingkan iaitu pasukan berempat, perseorangan lelaki (tiga acara), beregu lelaki (tiga acara), perseorangan wanita, beregu wanita dan beregu campuran.

Manakala sukan badminton pula mensasarkan tujuh kategori acara iaitu beregu lelaki terbuka, beregu wanita terbuka, beregu VVIP, beregu veteran lelaki, beregu campuran dan beregu campuran veteran serta junior.

Disusuli sukan golf yang bakal mempertandingkan tiga acara iaitu "best partners", "best individual" dan johan berkumpulan.

Lain-lain sukan mempertaruhkan satu acara permainan dengan bola sepak dijangka menjadi kejohanan kemuncak IFG 2023 yang bakal berlangsung di Padang Bola Sepak Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor.

Acara kemuncak itu bakal disaksikan oleh kedua-dua pucuk pimpinan Pasukan PDRM-SPF sebelum disusuli Majlis Makan Malam Utama di Grand Ballroom, Hotel Zenith, di sini.

PDRM yang pastinya berazam menjadi johan di gelanggang sendiri pada tahun ini menurunkan seramai 125 atlet bersama pengelola pasukan manakala SPF pula menurunkan 133 atlet termasuk delegasi.

Terdahulu sesi latihan bagi kesemua acara sukan yang dipertandingkan dalam IFG 2023 berlangsung pagi tadi di beberapa lokasi terpilih. Antara Pegawai Kanan PDRM yang turut serta dalam sesi latihan tadi ialah CP Jabatan Pengurusan Bukit Aman, CP Datuk Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad dan Komandan Maktab PDRM, DCP Dato’ Pahlawan Anuar Othman.

Bagi pihak seluruh warga PDRM, kami mengucapkan selamat berjuang buat kesemua para atlet Pasukan. Semoga kejayaan milik kita. Ayuh seluruh warga Pasukan, sama-sama kita nyatakan sokongan padu buat para atlet PDRM!
