KERATAN AKHBAR PILIHAN: 477 HELD IN RAIDS ON 70 ENTERTAINMENTS OUTLETS

Kuala Lumpur, 2nd January 2024 - A total of 104 locals and 373 foreigners were nabbed following raids on 70 entertainment outlets nationwide by Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in an operation codenamed Op Noda.

The raids, conducted by the CID's Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) between 1am and 6pm yesterday, saw the police inspecting 4,568 party-goers at the outlets.

Deputy Director of Bukit Aman CID, DCP Fadil Marsus said, a total of 104 locals and 373 foreigners were nabbed for various criminal and drug-related offences.

“A total of 358 CID officers and 1,425 personnel were involved in the raids.

“We conducted 15 raids in Johor, Selangor (12), Kuala Lumpur (nine), Pahang (eight), Penang (seven) and three each in Melaka, Sabah and Sarawak as well as two raids each in Kedah, Negeri Sembilan and Perak.

“One raid was conducted in Perlis.

“Bukit Aman D7 conducted seven raids,” he said when contacted.
