KERATAN AKHBAR PILIHAN: MAMMOTH FUNDING FOR COPS

Kuala Lumpur, 29th June 2024 - Twelve infrastructure projects worth RM1.35 billion are in the works for the police this year, says Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

“This includes the construction of district police headquarters, police quarters and other facilities,” he said.

Among the planned projects are the building of the Kemaman district police headquarters (IPD) and Kijal police station in Terengganu, Padang Besar IPD and police station, Nabawan IPD and police station, as well as housing in Perlis.

There will also be a housing project in Sabah, and Jelutong police station and housing in Penang, he added.

“Others include a transport workshop at the Kedah police headquarters and a monitoring tower at the Batu Putih post in Perlis,” Razarudin said in his speech during the Bukit Aman monthly assembly here yesterday.

These 12 projects, he added, are the highest number approved in a year.

He said the projects are under the 13th Malaysia Plan''s Rolling Plan.

Last year, the police received RM112.6 million in funds for 465 repair and upgrade projects for police quarters, he added.
