Petaling Jaya, 6th July 2026 – More than RM26.6 million worth of untaxed alcohol was seized during a recent police raid in Kuching, Sarawak, says Director of the Internal Security and Public Order Department, CP Dato' Sri Mohd Yusri Hj. Hassan Basri.
He said the seizure was the result of a special operation conducted by the department’s Wildlife Crime Bureau/Special Investigation Intelligence Unit last Friday.
More than 75,000 cartons of untaxed alcohol were discovered at the premises, along with three shipping containers filled with illegal liquor and two forklifts.
The total value of the seizure is estimated at RM26,624,618.
Three Indonesian men in their mid-30s were also detained during the raid at the premises in Kuching.
