#PKPP #COVID-19 [KERATAN AKHBAR PILIHAN] PM: UNITE IN THE SPIRIT OF 'MALAYSIA PRIHATIN'

Malaysians have been urged to liven up the spirit of the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, themed "Malaysia Prihatin" (Malaysia Cares), not only in the battle against Covid-19 but also in efforts to revive the economy.

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Dato' Haji Muhyiddin Yassin noted that people from all walks of life had started displaying the "Malaysia Prihatin" spirit when they came forward to provide assistance to others, irrespective of race, religion or creed.

This, said Tan Sri Muhyiddin, was a sign that Malaysians would become stronger and united not only in good times but also when facing challenging periods.

At the launch of the National Month Celebration and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign 2020 here yesterday, Tan Sri Muhyiddin explained the meaning behind the theme of this year's National Day and Malaysia Day.

"The theme for National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations very much reflects the aspirations of the government, in which all the people in Malaysia, irrespective of whether they are civil servants, from the private sector, volunteers of non-governmental organisations or individuals, are together in the battle against the enemy at this time, that is the Covid-19 pandemic," he said.
