While the Government has taken significant steps to contain the pandemic, and government agencies and frontliners have gone above and beyond the call of duty in carrying out their respective tasks, we the people need to position ourselves as frontliners too.
One of the latest government initiatives is the Embracing New Norms campaign which was launched to increase awareness and empower Malaysians to protect ourselves, our families and the communities in the war against Covid-19.
Malaysians in general can help the country break the chain of infection by embracing the new norms.
We just have to practise the 3Ws (wash, wear and warning) and avoid the 3Cs (crowded places, confined space and close conversation). It is that simple.
These days, lulled by a false sense of security due to the low number of Covid-19 cases reported daily, there are people who let their guard down and stop adhering to standard operating procedure.
Thankfully, the majority are following SOP and setting a good example.
