Kuala Lumpur, 19th October 2021 - Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday expressed his appreciation to the police for their role in enforcing the law and ensuring that the COVID-19 chain of infection in the country is broken.

In a post on Facebook on Sunday, he said at a time when the world, including Malaysia, was battling the pandemic, the role of the police had become increasingly challenging.

He also commended the police and the Malaysian Armed Forces for protecting the country's borders from being trespassed by illegal immigrants through Op Benteng, who might bring along the COVID-19 virus with them.
