Vehicles beating a red light in Jalan Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday. Police on Tuesday said that they are exploring the possibility of making such traffic violations a non-compoundable offence. If implemented, this will require offenders who run a red light to appear in court rather than paying a fine.
