   As I listened to West talk about the good they had done with the money raised thanks to sales of their previous watch with Ulysse Nardin (and the bonus donations Ulysse Nardin had helped secure from buyers and non-buyers alike), I couldn't help but feel like this was the right way to involve the military and veterans communities in watches.    The shape of the crystal follows the facet of the case.    Quick Take: I'm beyond thrilled that Grand Seiko was recognized by the Swiss industry for a genuinely pioneering release in the Kodo Constant Force Tourbillon. I'm happy that MB&F LM Sequential EVO ended up with the Aiguille d'Or, but I have to admit part of me is disappointed we didn't see the Kodo walk away with the top prize.     The unfortunate part is the sheer inability to get your hands on one. I am a firm believer in not making a decision about a watch unless you've seen it with your own eyes and held it in your own hands. Most of us don't have that luxury, though, which is a shame when making a five-figure decision. Having seen the Aquanaut, I get its appeal. Would I choose it over a Nautilus? Who's to say.     The Twelve doesn't reinvent the wheel of design. With an integrated bracelet, angular case, and textural dial, The Twelve instantly reminds me of a number of watches, from the iconic (the Royal Oak comes to mind, as well as the Laureato and the Overseas) to the more recent and modern integrated bracelet designs like the Tissot PRX and – even more on the nose – the Czapek Antarctique.
