Kuala Lumpur: Asean will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China that will cover cooperation on security issues, including technology-sharing of SG mobile networks to be used to address cybercrime.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yesterday said China and South Korea were in the final stages of upgrading from 4G to 5G networks, and this would aid Asean in combating cybercrime.
The MoU is expected to be signed at the Asean Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC).
