PARENTS ADVISED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THEIR CHILDREN DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

A forgetful couple left their son behind in Cameron Highlands, travelling back to their home in Sungai Koyan, Pahang, before having to do a U-turn, reported Berita Harian.

Amirul Afiq Najmi Jamaluddin, six, was left alone at a tea house in Jalan Besar Tanah Rata-Ringlet before he was found by a group of motorcyclists at around 6.15pm.

The motorcyclists then brought the boy to the Tanah Rata police station where news of his discovery soon found its way into WhatsApp.

Cameron Highlands OCPD deputy superintendent Muhammed Rizal Kamarudin said Ops Kesan was immediately launched to track down the child's parents and all the stations in the district were informed.

"After 35 minutes, police found the parents. The father came down to the station to pick up his son," said DSP Muhammed Rizal.

DSP Muhammed Rizal advised parents to keep an eye on their children, especially during the school holidays.
