[KERATAN AKHBAR PILIHAN] HARI POLIS KE-216: SERVING COUNTRY WITH PRIDE AS COPS

Johor Bahru, 25th March 2023 - Growing up with a father who served in the military, Lans Koperal Muhamad Fikri Mohd Shukor was always interested in taking up a similar job.
However, instead of joining the army, the 25-year-old opted for a career with the Royal Malaysia Police.

“I am the second among four siblings. My elder brother followed my father's footsteps and became a soldier while I joined the police force; he said during the 216th Police Day celebration at Johor police headquarters in Johor Bahru.
State deputy police chief DCP M. Kumar S. Muthuvelu presided over the event where 167 officers, staff and members of the public received certificates, Lans Koperal Muhamad Fikri has been a cop for four years now and is currently attached to the state police Criminal Investigation Department.

“I was born in Perak but raised in Port Dickson because my father was posted to different areas. Growing up, he always stressed on the importance of discipline.
“My brother and I always looked up to him. My father played a major role in influencing us to join the army and police,” said Lans Koperal Muhamad Fikri.
Meanwhile Johor police Management Department administrative officer Superitendan Aziman Wardi, 60, who also received a certificate, will be retiring after 38 years with the force.

He spent about 20 years of his career in Sabah and Sarawak before being posted to his home state of Johor in 2006.
"I will be retiring on April 6 this year and become a civilian. I have so many cherished memories of the challenges of being a law officer.

"I look forward to taking a break and going on a much-needed vacation with my wife,” said the father of two.
